Put on by Cindy Huffman of
Scarf Creations, the fourth annual "All Shook Up in Branson Contest" began on June 26th with a bang-up dinner for the judges and contestants, and the fun never stopped until all Elvi and friends had left the building five days later.
Heres a group photo of the contestants, along with the youth group contestants, emcees and judges. Believe me, getting a large group of ETAs to stand still at one time is not an easy task. It seems these guys are just naturally, "All Shook Up". AND the best part was, the five days of non-stop fun had just begun. The weekend never stopped rocking with Elvis tribute artists dressed in jumpsuits/ leathers/street clothes everywhere, and usually jamming in the halls, at all times. There were even some of the best youth competitors I've seen showing off for the crowds . Not to mention a super car show in the parking lot. The nightly Karaoke parties were probably the most fun, with the guys performing any type of music that hit their fancy, from Elvis, to Neil Diamond, to Elton John. Sometimes other TAs would join them on stage for impromptu Elvis-style fighting, or even acting like Elvis background dancers. One night three guys even got up and performed "Greased Lighting" from the movie "Grease" with the help of a chair filling in as the famous car.
The Stuck on Elvis Fan Club Here are just ten that made the trip to this awesome five day extravaganza. Left to right, me your Suite 101 Columnist June Moore, my husband Don, Linda DeJarnette, Bev Faitz, vendor Vera Cothern, Donna Collier, Rose Moody, judge Eileen Payne, Betty Butzbach and Jo Ann Brakeville. BETWEEN CONTESTANTS
