THE CONCERT
ELVIS: RECAPTURE THE SOUL

A short time later we once again walked into the Liberty Performing Arts Theater in Liberty Missouri. This time however, we had to wade thru a sea of fans, as we were no longer the only ones in the auditorium.

Soon after taking our seats, the magic began, as the lights dimmed, and the pounding Theme of "2001: A Space Odyssey" began it's familiar beat.

As the beat went on, film clips began showing on the screen of Elvis making his entrance, as Elvis Allynn also made his appearance. He was decked out in a beautiful royal blue jump suit, studded with silver.

Standing at the table was, as he had promised, his fiance', who was dressed in a beautiful royal blue gown that perfectly matched his jump suit.

Elvis Allynn has only been performing as Elvis a few short years, but clearly has all the qualities. He's got the moves, the walk, the talk, the voice, and is able to insert humor in all the right places.

In true Elvis-style, he had began with "C.C. Rider," and continued thru such greats as, "Proud Mary," "Suspicious Minds" and "Burnin Love."

It wasn't long before the female part of the audience were on their feet and making their way to the front of the stage, in the hopes of receiving a scarf and a kiss.

He walked the walk, and talked the talk, and performed all our favorites in true Elvis-style thru 21 songs.

Next week, for my final Elvis Tribute Artist journey we'll take a trip to Booneville, Missouri for their annual Elvis Contest.
