Last month I introduced Stuart Macleod to everyone from our interview at the Penticton Elvis Festival in BC Canada last July. Now lets carry on with our interview and get to know Stuart a little better!
You have quite a fan following now. Yes, there are a lot of people that know us and its great coming back here the third time in a row. They come here to see their favourite artist or to come and see all the guys. It's really special, like all the guys I've met in the last few years, from amateur to the pros they are all great guys. It's really awesome; everybody has a little of themselves mixed in with the Elvis thing. You can learn something from them all, regardless whether you're an amateur or the best in the world, there's something you can learn. I always find the comrade and the sincerity in all the tribute artists I've met, which is good.
Elvis is like a tool in life, if you know and understand how his life went, his love, his loss of love, his loss of his mother and how humble and gracious he was. It's all he ever wanted to do was sing, just sing. They called him the King and Elvis himself said there was only one king. Jesus Christ of course.
He impacted the world, it's coming on 27 years later since he's been gone, and you would never know that Elvis isn't here with us, he is here though, and it's a great thing.
Do you have a fan club? You know, not one organized, I haven't really approached anyone on it.
Fan Club... I think our fan club is the call backs we've been getting. You know we play a place once and a lot of the places we do play we play three times a year. So as a fan club, its province wide, it's not an organized thing, but we have a lot of fans and a lot of friends.
I encourage people to email us and I answer all emails.
Stuart talks about Going to Memphis, Vegas and meeting Kathy Westmoreland ....... I've never been to Memphis before; our first time was two years ago for the 25th anniversary, and I guess for me it was like going to the holy land. You know to actually meet people that actually worked with Elvis, whether it was some of the guys from the TCB Band, James Burton or any of those guys. It was fantastic. In Vegas of 2003 I met
