Body Scrubs: Body Scrubs are a helping agent in removing rough spots that are often found on the elbows, knees, and heels.

Bath Salts: Body Salts are similar to Bath Bombs except that they are loose. You can even create your own Bath Salts by pouring Epson salt or Dead Sea Salt in warm bath water. If you like scents, you can get creative and shake in a couple drops of essential oil. You can find these in health food stores, and often in drug stores. If you are interested in essential oils, please refer to the topic Aromatherapy here at Suite101.

Body Lotions, Creams, and Oils: These are excellent for conditioning the skin. Lotions are best for normal to dry, Creams are best for dry to very dry, and oils are just plain wonderful. If you have problem skin, choose a mild oil as oil can clog the pores.

Setting the Mood for Baths

Have fun when deciding what you would like to do for YOU time. Below, you will find suggestions that may be relaxing to you. Choose one or a combination for an extra treat! :)

1. Choose the appropriate products for your mood.
2. You may wish to light candles or dim the lights.
3. Invest in a bath pillow, so your neck is comfortable.
4. Bring in some reading materials that are not intense. A good book or magazine is perfect.
5. Have a drink on hand just in case you get thirsty. Water is always nice as sometimes the bathroom steams up and gets quite hot.
6. Play some music. Classical, Soft Rock, Relaxation Tapes, anything that you are in the mood for.
7. Lay back, close your eyes, and daydream.

My Favorite Picks

Lush Products

Lush has a wonderful web site that lists out every ingredient that is used in a product and it also describes the scent of that product. Lush has many products that are suitable for Vegans (those who do not eat meat or any product that comes from an animal, such as eggs and milk). The rest of Lush's products are suitable for Vegetarians (those who do not eat meat, but will drink milk, eat cheese, and eat eggs).

1. Back for Breakfast Shower Gel is a delicious scent of grapefruit, orange, and lemon. This is wonderful for when you are in the mood for a quick shower, but need to be energized. I have found that most scented soaps do not last when you wash in the shower. The only time you can smell it is when you sniff the bottle. However, this Lush product is just the opposite. As soon as you put it on a sponge, you smell it. It is definitely a pick me up. There is also another yummy scent called Crush. Crush smells like freshly squeezed orange juice. Unfortunately, Lush is not in the states. But, the good news is that you can mail order many of their products. There web site has a list of store locations throughout the world.
