First, I would like to thank you for visiting this particular article. Graying with Grace is about coming together with others to show support to all those who are being mistreated whether in their own home or in a living facility. It's about public awareness.
My good friend Linda e-mailed me and asked me what I thought about having a gray ribbon that would symbolize our love for the elderly all around the world, especially those who have been abused, exploited, or mistreated in any way. I excitedly e-mailed her back saying how wonderful this is. I told her some of my ideas about the gray ribbon and how we could get the idea better known. We have networked with many caregivers and professionals and now this "idea" has become into a bigger "idea." Graying With Grace is a new campaign to prevent abuse among the elderly, such as physical abuse, mental abuse abuse, financial abuse, nursing home abuse, and neglect. It's about public awareness and what we can do as a whole to educate others about this important topic. "The Gray Ribbon Campaign" is symbolized by a gray ribbon. This ribbon can be placed on cars, homes, clothes, and web sites. I am in the process of creating a ribbon for web sites, so I will post it as soon as it is finished. Everybody we had talked to expressed their feelings for this gray ribbon in a different light, all positive.
