Three "Oldie Goldies" for Kindergarten to First Grade
By far, our favorite '"oldie" is Sammy's Science House by Edmark. Who can resist a snake in a radar beanie after all? There are five activities in this program, most of which have three difficulty levels. Children can experiment with making their own weather with the weather machine, or can explore seasons and wildlife at Acorn Pond. They get practice sorting and classifying with the Sorting Machine, and learn sequencing in the Movie Room. There are many grand inventions to put together in the Workshop. We had no problems running Sammy's Science House in Classic on the iMac.
All three of these titles would work well for the Pre-K through 1st grade set, and since they are older, most can be found on bargain sites.
