This site includes eight questions about authors such as Beverly Cleary, Judy Blume, J.K. Rowling, Jan Brett, Katherine Paterson, Lois Lowry, Barbara Cooney and Paul Zindel. Each question contains a link that will take students to the authors' web sites.
Marine Mammals Hunt URL: http://rochesterschools.com/ers/mmhunt.h... This site five questions related to Marine Mammals, such as "What do Bottlenose Dolphins eat?" Each question is accompanied by a link to an information web site and an input form that can be submitted to the web site. The Animal Ark Education Project URL: http://www.animalark.net/aahuntpage.html The Animal Ark site contains several questions about animals that can be found on the Animal Ark reserve. An example question is "Mignon, Kipling, Little Brother and Kesha are the kit foxes at Animal Ark. How big are they compared to the gray fox and arctic fox?" Each question has an individualized web site with a variety of information about that particular animal. Web scavenger hunts are fun activities for your students to practice their critical thinking and internet skills. Many teachers enjoy using the scavenger hunts as a pre-learning exercise before they begin a unit or as an independent learning exercise when they utilize centers. Go To Page: 1 2
