TutorNet

TutorNet, "Your world of modern learning", (http://www.tutornet.com/) is a great web site that offers online (real time) interactive tutoring via the internet. Students (elementary to college-age) are able to login to the TutorNet web site and receive homework help in a variety of subjects at a time that is convenient for them. TutorNet uses real teachers (three levels of screening to ensure safety and security) a white board and chat area that students can enter their questions or view a response with formulas and text.

The site features teacher-moderated chat rooms to help students with tough homework problems. TutorNet offers you the opportunity to receive subject-oriented assistance from experienced teachers and tutors without leaving home. Experienced, qualified tutors and teachers - called Netucators™ - guide students through the process of solving homework problems, without giving them the answers, so that students will understand how to solve future problems. Students can contact a Netucator while at the library, school, home, or Internet center. They only need a computer with Internet access.

There is a great online demo to check out, so you know exactly how great this concept is.

Subjects covered by TutorNet's Netucators™ include: Basic Math (Grades 4-8), Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, AP Calculus, Basic Science (Grades 4-8), Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

Explore the Tutornet difference!

- Convenient access to homework assistance from the comfort of your home, school, or library.

For $29.99 per month, a student receives unlimited tutoring from TutorNet's Netucators for all available subjects, which is great value for money.

This fantastic site has already been recognized by Education Source (http://www.educationsource.com/) as one of the top 10 online education sites, and I am sure it has many awards and accolades to come.

'til next month :) - GE
