Write Persuasively and Sell Your Ebooks Online© Manuel Viloria
At this point, you have an ebook and a basic web site. The main problem is, how will you convince people to buy your ebook? What magical words should appear on your web page to draw the reader in? In the next five minutes, you'll learn exactly how to write persuasively...
Ever catch yourself walking down the street when suddenly your head snaps towards an interesting scene? What was it? It could have been an attractive person, an accident or even the bold headlines of a newspaper. And that's what your web page first needs -- an interesting headline. It should:
A lot of web sites you read do not contain attention-getting headlines. And those that DO catch your attention are basically "how to make money" sites. But please don't turn away just yet... These "commercial" sites will give you tips on how to write persuasively. So check out the following: Please... the point is not for you to buy those products. The point is for you to study how they wrote their homepage text. Discover what other marketers do to persuade potential customers to buy their information products or ebooks online. Sometimes, you'll even catch "body/movement" words like grab, gut, feel, get this, touch. Basic psychology at work. There are three basic types of personalities: visuals, auditory, and kinesthetic. By using words that appeal to sight, sound and movement, your text can look great to some, sound fantastic to others, and feel right to yet another group. Sometimes, certain people are combinations. You'll never know who will chance upon your web page, so just to be safe, sprinkle in a few words that will appeal to people from any of those three basic groups. One strategy I use is to have around 60% visual words, 30% auditory, and 10% kinesthetic. But hey, there's nothing scientific about that approach. It's -- you guessed it -- GUT feel. A lot of times we discover that it is hard to write for our readers. My friend wrote an ebook about the Telecom Industry and I asked him why others would even want to read it. Go To Page: 1 2
