Obesity in America

Obesity has reached an epidemic stage in the United States. Today our children and adults are fatter than ever before. Why?

The FDA says that we are killing ourselves, and, as anyone walking through a store can see, we are indeed, as a group, fatter than ever.

I can say this, because I am one of the fat ones.

Fast food, fast living, technology and convenience are killing us.

Now, before you band together and burn my site down, let me say that I actually love technology, and convenience. I spend my day (everyday) sitting in front of a computer. That should tell you everything about my feelings on the matter.

However, from a health standpoint, technology and convenience have been a bad thing for Americans.

Remote controls, self propelled lawn mowers, computers that search for anything you want, no more walking through the library.

Now we are a technologically advanced, fat country.

Not only has obesity increased, so has, logically, our rates of heart disease, heart attack, diabetes, liver damage, and other weight related problems.

We do, however, have technology that can save us.

We have computerized exercise equipment and computerized agendas. Life can be good and healthy.

Get out of the fast lane and on to the fast treadmill, and living in America can be great again!
