"Bless your heart"

"She is so kind hearted"

"Let's have a heart to heart talk"

"He'll be broken-hearted"

"What a cold-hearted person"

"Let's get to the heart of the matter"

"Her heart's in the right place"

"That child is so soft-hearted"

"My heart will go on" (Ok, that's a quote from "Titanic")

Ever notice how often we refer to our heart?

A person's heart is the most important part of their life, physically, emotionally, and spiratually.

Therefore, we should all treat our hearts good, right? True, however, a lot of us do not. Sometimes, unfortunately, that includes me.

What does 'Eating for Life' have to do with your heart condition? Everything!

A healthy, happy, long and safe life begins and ends with a 'good' heart. By this I mean good in two ways. Healthy and running smooth, and also spiratually. The kind of person who not only treats themselves well, but others, will live a long time and have many happy days.

How do you care for your heart?

1. Reach and maintain your ideal weight. (I do not mean ideal, as in model thin. I mean ideal as in healthy, strong and physically 'in shape)

2. Exercise everyday. Walk, jog, swim, play tennis, or dance the night away. What you do for your body is your business. Just rememeber to take care of your business. :)

3. Take heart healthy supplements such as garlic, CoQ10, and mutli vitamins. (Please check with your doctor before taking any supplements, as they may interfer with your prescribed medications)

4. Take time to relax, eliminate as much stress as possible from your life. If this means taking time away from you job or your family, do it. It just might save your life.

Be happy, healthy, and strong! Your heart will thank you.
