There are many different ways to lose weight. You can try a high profile program, such as the ones with the "drink your dinner" mentality, the "count till you sweat" food combination programs, or even the "Show up and tell everyone else what you ate yesterday" program. This all work, for some, for a while, but do they work for everyone, for ever?
No. I like to consider myself an intelligent woman, and if my college professors were right, I am a 'quick study'. However, I repeat the same diet mistakes over and over. Apparently, there are some things I do not understand. I would give you examples of all the different diets my friends and associates have been on, but there is no need. I have done so many crazy things in the name of weight loss, I need only relate my own misadventures. What have I tried? Well, I've had the urine of pregnant sheep injected in my arm once a week (at $50 a pop) and ate only protein. I lost 52 pounds on this one. But... I gained back sixty. I've bought urine strips at the drug store, and attempted to remain in a state of 'ketosis' while eating nothing all day, and then a turkey sandwich and almonds for dinner. I lost 35 pounds on this one...and gained back fifty two. I've drank only 5 protein shakes for 6 weeks straight and lost 47 pounds. However, as the pattern predicted, I gained back eighty. I have walked for fitness, danced with the oldies, drank sliming shakes and tried to eat like a rabbit. I've tried pills, lotions, audio tapes, exercise tapes, exercise equipment and online support groups. I've tried everything I can afford, and some that I could not. Yet, I remain in a constant battle for my weight and my health. Does this make me stupid, crazy or just hopeless? Neither....and you are not any of those things either. I've never met you, and maybe never will. Yet, I know you are not hopeless. Because we are all born with an inner strength and spirit that guides us and helps us to be better people. Listen to yourself, and find self worth in all that you do...I believe that true success is not found in a magazine story, it's found in our lives, our past, our future and our present. Good luck!
