* In past articles, I've mentioned many facilicies and programs, specifically geared toward the the treatment of eating disorders. * The Detroit Free Press recently reported the sad story of Melissa Hamlet, a teenage girl who died as a result of her struggle with bulimia. The story is far too common, and all too familiar. You'll find it at Detroit Free Press
* The Sept/Oct issue of the Eating Disorder Review, has an article regarding Bone Loss in Anorexics. Clearly intended for the medical community, the article is technical in wording, but still worth a read.
* The controversial Canadian eating disorder treatment center, Montreux, has closed it's doors following many questions and accusations regarding patient care. In late August, Montreux released a press release announcing it's closure. You can read the press release at Montreux.
* Good Housekeeping recently ran an article about the rise in eating disorders among boys and men. You'll find the article at Good Housekeeping.
* This summer, the BBC reported that cases of anorexia were turning up in rural African nations. (Hmmmm... I guess this sort of shoots down that bozo on my discussions page who said it's a rich, little, white girl's disease!). You can read the whole article at BBC Anorexia in Africa Article.
