In The BeginningLiving alone can be a "two-edged sword" kind of experience and to most people that's exactly what it is...especially if you're of the male gender of our species. There are the moments when a single man is so free; like a bird, unchained and unhindered, free to explore the pleasures of whatever such a life offer! But at other times, reality bites...and hard! Maintaining a standard of living that goes beyond simply an "existence" can and does become a full time occupation; mundane everyday chores like cooking and cleaning become the central focus of endlessly squandered months and years! It's this side that shackles the free spirit in the singular homme. And so, these series of articles are the effort of one such single man to alleviate at least one of the reasons for your constant source of megrims...cooking! It doesn't have to be a down-in-the-dumper and neither do you have to adopt the eat-to-live policy. You're king of your pad and you deserve so much better! After a course of these articles, I hope you'll come to agree with me. The recipes you'll learn in these series are so very simple and original that, hopefully, cooking will cease to be the chore it seems to be. And instead of simply futzing around the house like a hibernating fruit-fly, you'll want to experiment with new ingredients and cook up a storm that puts Chez Paree to shame! I'll be striving to bring you the best that the Wold Wide Wait (oops, Web) has to offer on schmoozing in your kitchen and miraculously churning out diamonds from glass. You'll also read about healthy eating (if that's your forte) and how to go about masking the vile flavors of health-food. You'll learn about entertaining, preparing dinners, desserts, soups, entrees and anything you want, with ingreduents that don't have to be grown in a temperature-controlled environment on Mars! Everything used in my recipes are readily available and wholesome and all recipes will take you a maximum of almost no time to prepare! So embark on what I promise will be one of your better experiences in the field of "knife-wielding" and "using fire for purposes other than smoking". You'll come to love cooking as an art, hobby and become masterful at successfully throwing things together. (This helps when packing things in a suitcase for extended trips as well!). You'll prepare stuff you never dreamt were so easy, wholesome and sooo deeelicious!
