Homemade Hits 4This week, I've got some awesome originals from the kitchen of yours truly! Prep time's the absolute minimum and it's simply delicious! I'd worked the whole day Wednesday, and I came home a starving wreck. I made a beeline right for the refrigerator and found the following things: 1 pkt. diced chicken 1 pkt. pre-seasoned chinese hakka noodles a tin of pineapples sliced bread And then I went on into the pantry and spied the following: white pwd. pepper onions garlic paste soy sauce vinegar sugar And that's how I conjured up these two quickies and satiated my burning hunger! I've often noticed that when I cook something in a hurry - just throw things in and let 'em sizzle - the results are mind-blowing. However, when I take the whole weekend out to cook something spectacular, I usually disappoint myself. Go figure! Anyways here they are: Pepper and Pineapple Chicken Get a frying pan warmed up on your stove. Dab it with some olive oil. When it's real hot, put in the diced chicken to cook. You'll notice that the chicken turns a whitish color as it cooks. When it does, put in 1 teaspoon of white pepper powder, a piled teaspoon of garlic paste and one large onion chopped in that order. Let all this cook for about 2 minutes. Put in the soya sauce (approx. 2 tablespoons) and a dash of vinegar for that zing. We're almost done here; after the stuff's been simmering for awhile, pour some of the juice from the tinned pineapple into the frying pan and add a couple of slices to it. Lid the pan, and let it all simmer for a minute or two on low heat. Meanwhile, boil up your pre-seasoned noodles, and drain the excess water out. Get out a huge dish, place the noodles on it. Now, pour your pepper / pineapple chicken generously over the noodles. Open up a can of chilled cherry coke and chow down! Bread Pudding Remember those bread slices and sugar? Well, here's where you put them to good use after that meal. Get some milk (very little) out on to a saucer. Get the crusts off your bread slices (they taste yucky anyways). One one side of the slices, apply s gob of butter and sprinkle sugar. Now dip that same side into the saucer of milk and fold the slice shut in half. So now you should have a milky, sugary filling on the inside and plain old bread on the outside.
