Lee Kuan Yew

Singapore today is a world leader in many areas of information technology and its people generally are happy and healthy. Yet, housing is controlled by government agencies, the media is overseen and the public cleanliness, at several levels, rather cloying. These seem, to outsiders, small prices to pay but those who live there often demur.

Lee Kuan Yew has subsequently become an advisor and mentor to his government, now managed by the third prime minister, Lee Kuan Yew's own son.
