Poverty and Resourcefulness in Isan

Aymonnier's account, as well as the accounts of other travellers, is full of engrossing details such as this. They help to demonstrate the degree to which people, even with very low levels of formal education, are able to attune themselves to their land and understand how to survive in it. All around the world, people are demonstrating this degree of ingenuity and wisdom.
