Telephone Chain: If there’s an emergency school closing, the telephone chain make sure all parents are aware of the emergency and instructions where to pick up their children.

HostingBeing a host parent for exchange students: When schools have exchange programs, they need housing for the students coming from out of town. Having an addition to your household for the length of the exchange can be your contribution.

Field trip supervisor: Always in demand, parents to accompany children on apple picking trips, museum visits or on theatre productions.

Speaker for career day: Career day is a great way to share yourself with the students in schools. So your job isn’t the most excited or they’ve booked someone doing your job already, ask yourself what other talents do you have? You could also volunteer to organize the career day or any other special tradition your school may have. Make the speakers comfortable, make signs and be a resource person for the children.

Parent Committee:Be there when the decisions are made nd be part of the voting process. Join the parent's committee. Your voice can be heard a long way.
