1 Alex calls teenagers with green, orange and red hair "pogs", and if you tell him it's "punks" he gets mad at me.

2 Donna S. : "I put on my bathing suit for the first time a few days ago. My five year-old son saw me, and ran off screaming, "Mom is wearing her zucchini!"

3 Mary C. : "I have a family day care & I try to get the children out for walks weather permitting. There have been a few days when it was a little humid, so we shorten our walk. One day on the way back, Hannah, a little 3 yr. old at the time, told me she wanted to hurry & get back because she had water coming out of her. (She meant that she was sweating)"

4 Wendy S. :"My husband and I were recently in California with our 16 month old. She is at the point where she is saying words and repeating after you. Well one night we were out to dinner and near the end of the dinner she got a little crabby as she was tired. On the way back to the car to amuse her and distract her I picked a snap dragon flower and began to play with it as if it were talking to her. She loved this and was mumbling to herself and laughing all the way to the car. As we started driving we could hear her quietly in the car. We were carrying on a conversation when all of a sudden in a very loud voice we heard as clear as a bell " Oh Shute" from the backseat . We both turned and looked and she had ripped the flower. With a big grin on her face she looked up at me and said again Oh Shute MaMa and both her father and I broke out laughing and she joined in.

5 Amanda's mom : "We were visiting my father-in-law on father's day. My oldest daughter Amanda, who is 4 1/2, was not being very nice to her cousin Zachary who is 1. Amanda's Uncle Mark said, "Amanda you're not being very nice today." Amanda responded, "I'm nice at my house."

6 Elizabeth J. :"A three year old was working hard at a lacing card with a frayed piece of yarn. The teacher, noticing her building frustration, approached her and said " let me get you an new piece of yarn, that one is frayed" The child
