Heirloom Gardens Pt.II After reading the first part of this Heirloom Gardening article, if you are considering some heirloom plants, be it an entire garden or just a few plants, the following lists will give you an idea about what is out there. Please note that this is only a smattering of plants, and by no means even close to an entire list. There are numerous nurseries which carry heirlooms, some specializing in them. Because many of these places carry different plants, (few carry exactly the same) instead of just linking you to one or two, I will give you the key words to use in your net searches. This way, you can see for yourself the variety that you will have to choose from. But, beware, its addicting. Key words for searches: Heirloom Seeds, Heirloom Vegetables, Heirloom Plants, Heirloom Fruits, Heirloom Flowers, Heirloom Roses, Heirloom Gardening, Heritage Plants, Heritage Seeds. By the way. To make your garden a little more interesteing, especially if it is a smaller one, mix your flowers, herbs, and vegetables. I do this myself, and it really looks great. This is a perfect time to companion plant as well, that is, planting plants next to each other who help each other co-exist. Enjoy the list. And notice some of the unusual names. Those alone make you want to plant some of these.
