Counseling and Computer Technology in the New Millennium--An Internet Delphi Study Research findings indicate counselors and counselor educators are using a large variety of CRT tools, including word processors, spread sheets, a variety of software programs, e-mail, chatrooms, listservs, databases, and other web-related tools to assist them in over half of job-related tasks today. Experts forecast CRT use by counselors will significantly increase by the year 2008, when professional counselors are expected to utilize CRT for at least 90% of their work-related tasks. http://scholar.lib.vt.edu/theses/availab...

Global Telehealth Resource Center The demand for "healthcare delivered anywhere", despite prohibitive costs, lack of communications infrastructures, lack of time, and lack of appropriate resources, has prompted The ECU Telemedicine Center to develop the Global Telehealth Resource Center (GTRC). The primary focus of the GTRC is to build working relationships with disaster relief organizations and participating medical professionals through the technical facilities and equipment afforded by the Center The GTRC is seeking partners for participation in this project. Research Finds New E-Health Paradox: It's Harder to Reach Patients Online Than to Have an Effect on Them Although the Internet is increasing its influence on how patients approach their health care, strategies borrowed from consumer sites fail to reach them, according to research-conducted by Harris Interactive, recently released by The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and published in the Harris Interactive Health Care News, Issue 21. The study found that shifts in how people search for health care information present industry players with new opportunities to engage and capture patients online
