Over the past 3 years, the hot commodity on the Internet is healthcare information. Health and medicine search sites put medical information at your fingertips to help you make your own health and wellness decisions. They help you find a doctor, research a disease or pharmaceutical drug, putting you in charge of your own health and medical decisions.

For all the hoopla over health care information, what’s happening online seems oddly powerful and limited at the same time. On the powerful side, consumers are harnessing the search power of the Internet to gather information on the latest drugs, treatments, and clinical trials available. Patients meet others with their diseases and conditions and swap stories and solutions in chat rooms and list serves.

But on the limited side, there’s a clear lack of translation and interpretation by experts.
