Suite101

The Case of the Missing Content

© Frank and Brandy Ross

Greetings gamers,

This is not like any of the other articles we have worked on for your reading pleasure. Today’s writing is inspired by a need to reach out to you and explain what is going on and what you can expect in future.

If you are reading this then you are likely still coming to Suite101's Dungeons and Dragons topic for info. We want to thank you for taking a bit of your time to stop by. You may be wondering why things are so very slow in here these days and we want to take a moment to address that issue for you.

It’s not likely that anyone has forgotten September 11. It was a month that seemed dull in color. After that event it was most difficult to turn our minds to fun and games. It was not only our ability to write creatively on the topic of D&D that suffered. We also saw that our gaming group had little desire to fire up a game. When we spoke to gamers online, the zest for role-playing was severely diminished. We saw a large decline in our visitor numbers and this loss of motivation made it harder to write for the site.

As we were struggling with reviving our motivation and our ability to be creative in general, we received somewhat shocking news from Suite101. You may have noticed there are things happening here at Suite. Suite101, just like everything else in life, experiences change. We can all hope that the end is a happy one.

What you can expect from Suite101:

1. You can continue to expect to see good articles, links and discussions on a variety of topics.

2. You can continue to search for information and answers to your many questions.

3. The management is working on accepting new applications for contributing editors.

4. Suite101 on a whole will continue to work to provide a professional look and content that allows the members easy access to information.

5. As for the member features, some will remain while others may change. Suite101 does care about you and your expectations.

What you can expect from the Dungeons and Dragons topic at Suite101:

Honesty is the best policy is on this issue. We are still trying to look over the changes and decide where we fit in as the co-contributing editors of D&D. You deserve an answer and we promise that we will have one for you soon.

Again, we want to thank you for your interest and support. No matter how this journey ends,

Frank & Brandy,

I also noticed a lack of enthusiasm for RPGs after Sept. 11, but I feel that by giving up on those tings that are passionate to us and give us pleasure, then we are giving in to tho ...
