Halloween CenterpieceTo finish it off you can place bits of moss or straw around the lip of the pumpkin opening. Sprinkle more potpourri into the flower arrangement. If you have any Halloween decorations such as the stick ornaments with figures of scarecrows or pumpkin heads, insert one of two into the arrangement. I have a wonderful stuffed scarecrow on a stick that I found at Walgreen’s of all places. It sits nicely right in the middle and to the side of the arrangement. Last step. Wherever you plan to sit the centerpiece first place either an area of straw or moss bedding. Place the pumpkin centerpiece right in the middle of the straw/moss, sprinkle more potpourri. Not only does this add more fragrance it adds a nice bit of color to contrast against the beige moss/straw. Now, place various colorful gourds all around the centerpiece. Add a little pumpkin candle or two and you have a very colorful and festive centerpiece for the holiday. The small pumpkins can be made up the same way and then placed in various locations around the house adding a nice scent and color or they can be placed around the great pumpkin centerpiece along with the gourds. The nice thing about this arrangement is when the Halloween festivities are over, you should be able to pull the foam brick out of the pumpkin (remember I said to cut it so it wouldn’t stick) and place the whole flower base into a different container such as a wicker basket and continue to use as a fall centerpiece. I love versatile arrangements! Enjoy the day and I hope this project brightens up your Halloween night. Till next time, Boo!
