Craft Clean Up and Organization Extravaganza!

  • List your silk flowers separately and by class. Example, roses, poinsettias, lilies, etc.
  • List any greenery such as ivy or vines on your list.
  • Glue sticks. No matter how many you think you have, it's never enough!
  • Florist pins
  • Floral picks
  • Floral tape
  • Flower sealant
  • Spray paint (which colors you have and need)
  • Wreath bases (how many and the sizes you have available)
  • Moss (list colors you have or need)

I also keep a list of extra items I have available. For example, types of container I've collected or bought that I plan to use for a project. Any "special" items, such as miniature figures, Christmas items or other holiday craft items or ribbons. Miscellaneous items that can be used in a basket or wreath creation are also listed just so I can keep track of what I have available at any given time.

When you start making your crafts for the upcoming holiday seasons, or any other time of year, it makes it much easier to know what you have and what you need before you sit down to make that special something only to find you don't have enough of a particular flower, no green moss or only broken pieces of gold filigree!

I hope these suggestions help and if any of you have your own techniques you'd like to share, please start a discussion and let us know what works best.

Thanks everyone and till next month, happy crafting!
