Dressage Training-When you just can't do it yourself

so I improvised. Instead of me riding my horse during my lesson, my instructor would ride. He could work on the trouble spots and I would follow up with what I could do at home. I'd try to squeeze some extra training sessions in when our schedules permitted so that there wouldn't be so much time between his rides.

I'd love to be able to give you a happy ending to this story. Something like "She and her horse rode happily off into the sunset. He was engaged and coming through his back and his changes were fluid and prompt. She was relaxed and her aids wer so slight as to be imperceptible." I was tempted to do so, but my friends will read this and know this is not the case. In truth, we are just beginning to try this scheme out. I feel fairly confident it will succeed, but if not, I've still learned a lesson. Sometimes you can't because you can't. And that's OK, because there is someone that can that can help you.
