Briefly, this weeks winners in the NHRA are John Force over Frank Pedregon after they each through a WWF boy out of the ring, #1 qualifier Scelzi beat the Kallita kid and Richie "the kid" Stevens finally made adopted daddy WJ proud by beatin Jeggie in Pro Stock.
There is a problem brewing down under in Australia. Politically it is confusing but evidently Australia has a Minister of Racing who is treating the drag racers like red-headed stepchildren. Although promises are continually being made, the quarter milers from down under are getting screwed. There has been a track being used in Sydney for drag racing and circle runners as well but it seems the rubber laid down causes slippery corners and they have restricted the drags to street cars only. Seven million was promised the other day to build a new facility across the street but it seems it was a politicians promise as no one can say where the money is coming from or when. If you have any connections with anyone who wants to further drag racing in another country or wish to just send them a letter, the sancitioning body is the Australian National Drag Racing Association. Their web site is http://www.andra.com.au/ where you can find more detailed info than I have provided. There are always threats on drag racing and no one ever recognizes the technical developments that drag racers have given over the years. I would like all my readers to at least send a note to the ANDRA via email over their web site wishing them the best and sending moral support. Thanks and good racing Studebaker Go To Page: 1
