A day late and a dollar short

Well the NHRA season is half over and looking at the Pro categories, I see no runaway winners. The biggest lead so far is Jeg Coughlin in Pro Stock. WJ I am sure is pulling out all the stops for the rest of the season so look for a late run from the Johnson team.

I find it amazing at the minds of people in certain organizations. Earlier this year I was approached by an individual from a drag racing organization of all Harleys. They wanted me to link them on my site which I was more than happy to do. I formally requested press credentials to one of their races several times and wasn't even afforded an answer of "kiss our butts". I have been given credentials by many sanctioning bodies this year and the number of hits on my site show I have good readership. Yet someone in this sanctioning body decided press coverage by me was not worth the price of a ticket. I don't want anyone to stop supporting any form of drag racing, this is just a message to those who make such decisions to pull their heads out of the sand and realize how much they are costing their organizations. I can cover a race and attract lots of spectators but if I don't go, they probably won't get a mention. Enough said.

Although I haven't covered it very closely, mainly because I can't seem to get to any of their races, the IHRA has been kicking up a little dust as well. They are no longer on goracing.com since goracing.com is a bankrupt .com so they are back to ihra.com.

Support drag racing and now is the time for all good gamblers to make your predicitions.

Can Warren pull it out or will Jeggie hang on or??? Does Angelle have the 8 points in her this year to take pro bike? Will Force get yet another title or will the belt go to the WWF boys? Send me your predictions. All who get all five pro categories correct will be mentioned on the web.

My predictions are: T/F Schumacher, F/C Force, Pro Stock Jeggie, P/S truck-Panella and Bike will be Angelle Seeling.

To be considered you must get it to me before Labor day and INDY.
