Results from Arizona and IHRA gets a new sponsor

In the hot desert sun we had the following winners on a track that seemed to be melting tires. Funny Car: John Force won at 4.933 over Ron Capps 8.196 Top Fuel: Tony Schumacher 5.095 defeated Bob Vandergriff 5.42. All smoke tires but great for Bob to get to finals and Pro Stock (without a Johnson in the final) Jeg Coughlin 6.961 defeated Mark Pawuk 7.081 in the only true Pro Final race. Low E.T.-4.579, top speed-319.52 and all the tire smoke proved that 90 % nitro has barely affected the fuel cars.

Extreme Championship Wrestling not to be outdone by the WCW has backed some Pro Mod boys in the IHRA. I have mixed emotions about this. Wrestling is popular but so fake. I don't want drag racing to get the same reputation. On the other hand money is good for the sport. Welcome wrestling fans, I just don't want to see anybody bashing each other in the pits for publicity.
