Express WebPictures
I've tried many download utilities specifically designed to extract pictures from internet webpages but with only moderate success. By far Express WebPictures seems to perform the best. While testing Express WebPictures I deliberately left the program running for over two hours. I am pleased to report that the program did not 'hang'. Express WebPictures allows a user to create individual project files for the pictures to be downloaded. Project settings include the ability to download pictures from a specific web page, from pages available under sub-folders, or from the entire website. Express WebPictures includes a default size filter that excludes pictures that are too small or large. The size filter setting can be optimized to suit the user's requirement.
Once the pictures are downloaded to the user's hard drive Express WebPictures has included a built-in browser to view the pictures. Other options include the ability to view the downloaded pictures as a slideshow & setting a selected picture as a desktop wallpaper.
Probably the best feature of Express WebPictures is the ability to resume a project simply by starting the download process again if download process is interupted. Please note that a user can only download pictures from one website at a time. As with many download utilities, it is best to allow Express WebPictures to run until completed before attempting to utilize other system resources.
Although the ability to create a web gallery from your pictures is possible with Express WebPictures you will require Express Thumbnail Creator from the Express-soft website.
I found Express WebPictures a little pricey, however, if you love collecting large amounts of pictures from the web, this utility is worth a look.
I've given this program my personal rating (5-Best, 4-Very Good, 3-Good, 2-Fair,1-Poor) as well as a brief description of the Pros & Cons.
PROS - Runs exceptionally well without 'hanging'. CONS - A little pricey. Web gallery cannot be created without Express-soft's Express Thumbnail Creator Program. RATING - 5

The above-mentioned software was tested using a PC computer with the following criteria: AOpen, AMD-K6(tm-2), 300 MHZ, 294 MB RAM, & Windows ME. Monitor used is a Viewsonic 17", Model A70, screen resolution 1024x768. It should be noted that due to the wide range of systems used, I cannot guarantee how this software will perform on your computer.
