It looks like it's going to be a hot Winter.
The new album of Rising Force (Malmsteen's band) is almost finished. The title of the album is "War To End All Wars" and it lasts more than 65 minutes.
In January 2001 Brazil will witness one of the biggest events in the metal history. The Rock in Rio festival will feature some of the best bands around including Iron Maiden and Halford.
The legendary Canadian band Anvil will start recording their new album soon. The title of the album will be "Plenty Of Power" and the band hopes to release it at the beginning of 2001.
The new album of October 31 will be recorded early next year. The band will record at Oblivion Studios and be produced by King Fowley. Metal Blade will release "No Survivors" sometime next year.
Aion from Poland have finished working on their new album. This will be the third record of the band and it is titled "Reconciliation". The album will feature a cover of "Headless Cross" from Black Sabbath and the band plans to embark on tour after the album is released.
After almost a year of negotiations Severance signed a deal with Repulse Records. Their first album for the label will be released at December and it will be titled "What Lies Ahead".
It looks like KISS are in trouble since their original drummer, Peter Criss, wants an equal share from the money they will get for their tour. If he doesn't get the money he will leave the band and KISS will replace him with Eric Singer who has been previously in the band as well.
Wolfen Society have entered the studio in order to record a new EP. The title of the album will be "Conquer Divine" and will be released through Moonlight Records.
Review of the week:
HALFORD - Resurrection / Metal Is
The god of Heavy Metal is back with a vengeance. The new album of Halford has nothing to do with his previous projects. (thank god) He has returned to his roots and he is playing pure, classic heavy metal with a very fresh sound and a very modern approach to it. There are 12 songs in the album and all of them are excellent, the least to say. Roy Z has done an excellent job producing the album and helping Rob with the arrangements and compositions and the voice of Rob seems to be as good as ever. The songs are fucking heavy, melodic and powerful and the result is an explosive album. The duet with Bruce Dickinson is a dream come true for every metal fan around and the song it self is one of the best in the album. That's exactly what I expected from the man and he hasn't disappointed me. This is exactly how metal should be played and I am pretty certain that this album will establish the reputation of Rob. A reputation lost in the past years because of his non metal projects. Get it as fast as possible. This is classic metal at it's best.
