Doom/Death Music News Tape (August, 22)

Lizzy Borden finished the recordings of their new album. The title of the album is "Deal With The Devil" and was recorded in Los Angeles. The art is made by Todd McFarlane known for his work with Iced Earth and Korn and for the creation of Spawn. The album will be released in October.

Line up problems for Brazilian Power Progressive gods Angra. Unfortunately Andre Matos (vocals), Ricardo (drums) and Luis (bass) have left the band. The remaining members, guitarists Kiko and Rafael, are writing material for the next album of the band and looking for replacements. Well for me they would better split up since I fear that the magic will not be there without the other guys.

Theater of Tragedy managed to break free from Massacre and their new album, titled "Musique" will be released in October 1st by, who else, Nuclear Blast. Meanwhile during the recordings of the album guitarist Tommy Olson and bassist Erik Saltro left the band. Early next year Massacre will release an EP with rarities and a couple of new songs, titled "Introspective".

The guitar player of Lithium Patrick Hultim has left the band in order to become a monk (!!!). The band has replaced him by Nico Pedersen.

Epic metallers Rhapsody are hard working in their new album. The title of the album will be "Dawn Of Victory" and will continue the saga they started in their two previous albums. The album will probably be released in October.

Dark Funeral are back in the studio rehearsing and writing songs for their new studio album. Drummer Mate Modin (from Defleshed) can be considered as a permanent drummer for the band since both sides were satisfied from their cooperation these past few months.

Ravenous have finished working on their debut album. The title of the album is "Assembled In Blasphemy" and will be released soon enough.

The two original members, Martin and Magnus, are back in Ablaze My Sorrow and the band is currently writing material for their forthcoming album. They are also preparing a new web site and a video for their song "Suicide". The recordings of the new album will begin before the end of the summer.

Motorhead legend Lemmy appears on the upcoming album from German vocalist Doro Pesch. Lemmy duets with Doro on two songs: a cover of Motorhead's 'Love Me Forever' (which first appeared on the '1916' album) and a new song 'Aloen Aloen'. The album, titled 'Calling The Wild', will be released by Koch in September.
