OK concert dates first as always. Demons and Wizards will give one concert in Greece in June 17th. They will play at Petra Theater in Athens and according to the rumors their set includes also songs from both Iced Earth and Blind Guardian. After this concert we have Rockwave Festival in July 14th at the Environmental Park in Liosia with Iron Maiden, Dream Theater, In Flames, Septic Flesh and On Thorns I Lay. Not bad for the summer season I guess.

The new album of Alice Cooper is already released (expect a full review next month) and according to Alice it's the heaviest he has done so far. It marks a back to the roots approach, not only musically, since he has re-introduced his old tricks concerning his concerts and lyrically it deals with subjects of social and political issue. The title of the album is "Brutal Planet".

After their successful tour in North America Satyricon are preparing their next studio album. They have already written some songs which are not that as aggressive as the previous album, although it's probably darker. There's some groove-oriented parts as well, with a Black Sabbath/Mercyful Fate style and a feeling of eeriness according to Satyr.

Line up changes for Steel Prophet. The new members are guitarist Jim Williams and drummer Karl Rosqvist. They plan to enter the studio during the summer to record the follow up to "Messiah" which they plan to release in January 2001.

While the recently re-united legendary band, Cult, are in the studio recording a new album their label will re-release "Pure Cult", a best of album containing the singles from 1985 to 1994. In early July Ian Astbury, the singer of the band, will release his solo album as well.

The new album of Motley Crue, "New Tattoo", will be released in July. The band is currently putting the finishing touches to the album since there are still some things that needs to be done concerning the guitar parts.

The cult Canadian 80s metal band Helix are writing songs for their new album. The band hopes to enter the studio at the beginning of 2001 and the album will be released some time later. In July the band will tour with Lee Aaron.

Darkane will enter the studio in early summer in order to record their new album. The album is scheduled to be released before the end of the summer. The album will feature their new vocalist Lawrence Mackrory who replaced Andreas Sydow.
