Concert news first. After sometime when no really good concerts were happening it's time start over again. Annihilator will play on March 4th in Thessaloniki (Ydrogeios Club) and March 5th in Athens (Rodon Club). After the release of their highly successful come back album "Criteria For A Black Widow) the Canadians have embarked in a world tour that will make a stop in Athens and Thessaloniki. Then on April 12th Deep Purple will play in Thessaloniki and April 13th in Athens. The living history of Hard Rock. On April 15th Deicide with Sadistic Noise supporting, will be in Thessaloniki and then on April 16th with Less Than Human supporting in Athens. Better prepare your ears for this attack, for it's gonna be a merciless one. Finally in May Saxon will visit Greece for two shown. One in Thessaloniki (May 5th) and one in Athens (May 6th), plus Gamma Ray will close the in doors season with one show in Thessaloniki (May 20th) and one show in Athens (May 21st).
The most important festival in Greece, Rockwave Festival, announced the line up for the metal day. Three of the best metal bands will play live. Iron Maiden will be the headliners and Dream Theater and Cradle Of Filth will open for Maiden. There will also be another band, a Greek one, which hasn't been announced yet. The festival will take place in Agios Kosmas, very close to the last year's location, on Friday July 14th.
Sources that are quite reliable have announced the title for the new Iron Maiden album. The title is "Majesty Of Gaia" and the track listing is as follows. "Heaven's Gate", "Cardinal Sin", "Everyone's Illusion", "Seraphine", "Equinox", "Fallen Empire", "King Of The Desert", "Conveyer Of Truth", "He Who Laughs Last" and "Majesty Of Gaia". The first single will be released in April 24th while the album will follow in May 29th. The same sources said that the cover will be from all time classic Derek Riggs.
Voivod will released "Lives", a live album recorded in Dynamo in 1996, in March. Meanwhile the band is in the stage of pre-production for their next studio album and they have scheduled a tour with Therion and Flowing Tears from March in Europe. The new album of guitar god Joe Satriani will be titled "Engines Of Creation". This time the album won't be simply licks and solos, since there are also many technological elements and weird sounds in the album. "Engines Of Creation" will be released in March 24th.
