The concerts that Deep Purple did at Royal Albert Hall with the London Symphonic Orchestra will be released in double CD soon. The album will feature numerous friends of the band such as Ronnie James Dio, who sang a couple of songs with them at the concerts.
The new album of ex Guns and Roses guitar player Slash band Slash's Snakepit is titled "Aint Life Grand". The album will be released in February 22nd through Geffen Records.
Thou Shalt Suffer is nothing more than the name of Emperor's guitar player Ihsahn. The man has finished this neo-classical masterpiece and it will be released in February. In related news the new album of his other project Pecattum will be released in April. The title of the album is "Oh My Regrets". Both albums will be released through Candlelight.
The Danish band Iron Fire who have recently signed to Noise Records are currently in the studio recording their debut album.
Benediction (shown left) are writing songs for their forthcoming new album. The band is working with their new vocalist Dave Hunt. Expect NO musical direction changes.
The third album of Isengard will be released in April. The title of the album is "Crownless Majesty" and the band is already working on it.
Dark Funeral's new mini-CD "Teach Children To Worship Satan" is nearly completed. The album will be released in February containing the new song "A Satan's Apprentice" and four covers. One from King Diamond, one from Slayer, one from Sodom and one from Mayhem.
The new album of Progressive Metallers Opposite Earth is once again on it's way. "Selling The Miracle" as is the title of the album was stopped because of the death of Steve Vincent's (the vocalist of the band) father.
The release date for the new album of Steel Prophet, titled "Messiah" is January 24th for Europe and mid February (22nd) for North America.
David Coverdale confirmed the rumors that he had been working with Eddie Van Halen. They recorded some songs together that according to him they move in a bluesy, but heavy direction and they might be released sometime. In related news David completed work on his upcoming solo album which will be released in February through EMI.
It looks like Crimson Glory are in a working frenzy. The band will release a five song mini-CD to accompany their European tour which will feature a new version of "War Of The Worlds" from "Astronomica", the two songs Wade did in the audition for the part of the singer, plus two live songs with original vocalist Midnight. For the new album the band is looking for a keyboardist and the target is to have about 30 songs and about 90 minutes of music in two CDs.
