Pantera are still working on their new album with no release date announced yet. There are rumors that the album will be the most brutal and streamlined they have done so far.

Drummer Grim who had played in the past with Immortal, Gorgoroth and Borknagar was found dead in his home on October 4th. He committed suicide for unknown reasons. R.I.P.

After the release of "Metal Jukebox", Helloween are currently writing new material for their next studio album. The band will enter the studio in January and the album will be released in May 2000.

Orphaned Land signed to Century Media a few months ago and now they have finally scheduled their next studio album. It will be released next Spring and titled "Mabool".

The next album of Impaled Nazarene, the sixth so far, will be released in January 2000. The band has just entered the studio in order to record it. The title of the album is "Nihil". Meanwhile the band was forced to cancel a show in Australia because they were banned from the parents and citizens associations. There's also rumors that they almost got killed in a car accident in the same tour.

The sophomore effort of In Aeturnum will be recorded before the end of the year in The Abyss studios. The album is titled "Pestilent Plague".

Century Media has released in Europe the album of Zonata, "Tunes Of Steele", a band with members around the age of 20.

The new album of Kamelot is almost finished. The title of the soon to be released album is "The Fourth Legacy", with the band stating very proud of it.

Lefay guitar player Peter Grenh injured himself in a motorbike accident. He suffered fractured ribs, a broken hand, a punctured lung, a dislocated left shoulder, and a strained left wrist. Despite all these he joined the band on-stage in Dortmund, trying to play his parts.

Mortiis has canceled his appearance in Chicago because the venue policy forbid him to use certain theatrics. The show of the band includes buckets of blood and some fire breathing and he was not able to use them.

The second album of Saturnus has been delayed for January 2000. The title of the album is "Martyre" and the Gothic Doom metal included is produced by Fleming Rasmusen.

The excellent Greek Black Metal band Rotting Christ did some shows in America. Unfortunately two of them were cancelled because the promoters and the church found their name offensive. Finally their headlining appearance at the second stage of Milwaukee Metal Fest was interrupted by the police after only 20 minutes, for the same reason.
