Review of the week:
TENHI - Kauan / Prophecy Productions
The debut album of this excellent band from Finland. Folkloric Progressive Rock, dark and melancholic, but full of emotions and melodies. Being a reviewer sometimes you are lucky enough to get an album from a band that you have never heard before and become hooked with them in no time. An acoustic album, with very little vocals, full of great melodies and an ever present feeling of sadness. An album that manages to capture the feeling of the Finish land, with the thousand lakes, the cold and the myths. An album that has the potential to travel you to a land constantly frozen, but which is full of mystic life, inhabited by the ghosts of ancient people and peaceful. An album perfect for lonely nights, for times of concentration and inner thoughts. An album that can touch your very soul, if you let it do it.
