Review of the week:

COVENANT - Animatronic / Nuclear Blast

The new album of Covenant (who have apparently changed their name in Kovenant) is an absolutely fabulous album of pure musical genius, that's gonna give you a major kick in the ass, assuming you got an open mind. Their Black Metal is enriched by more influences, including some Goth and electronic influences, plus more cosmic than ever. The atmosphere is fantastic, with the chaotic male vocals mixed with operatic female vocals and the keyboards adding their cosmic sounds to the music. Some (very few though) industrial elements does exist making the result a lot more interesting. These guys are simply amazing and their music will appeal to all metal fans with an open mind for something new and interesting. I would like to close the review with my comments about the cover of "Spaceman". It's simply far better than the original. It's got balls, something the original lacked.
