- The new album of DARKTHRONE is titled "Ravishing Grimness" and it will be released early this month. The band has not changed it's sound so their fans can expect an old school Black Metal album as their previous ones. In related news Fenriz from Darkthrone and Astenu from Dimmu Borgir have a project under he name Wombator. Finally Fenriz is participating in Eibon with Killjoy (Necrophagia), Phil Anselmo (Pantera), Satyr (Satyricon) and Maniac (Mayhem). The sound of Eibon will be a mix between Hellhammer and Bathory.
- SUBSTANCE D will release their debut album "Addictions" within the next weeks. The album is inspired by a Phillip Dick novel, "A scanner Darkly", it tells the story of the drug Substance D.
- At the end of the month all the albums of CELTIC FROST ever released through Noise, will be re-released. All of them will have the old art-work, bonus tracks and will be re-mastered.
- IRON FIRE from Denmark have signed a deal with Noise. The band is currently working on their debut album, titled "Thunderstorm", which will be released in February next year.
- The new album of WARHEAD will be titled "Beyond Recall". It is going to be a concept album dealing with the subject of Death Sentence, but without being too political.
- UDO has just released his new album "Holy" (check the CD-Reviews section for a review), but his previous label, G.U.N., will probably release a best of album of Udo, very soon.
- The long awaited return of ARMORED SAINT, titled "Revelation", will finally be released in February, according to what John Bush (vocals) stated. The band has finished the recordings are currently mixing the new album.
- STEEL PROPHET will enter the studio this month in order to start working on their next album, the fourth so far. The album will be possibly titled "Messiah" and it will be the first with their new drummer, Kevin Cafferty. The album will be produced by Jim Morris.
- HAMMERFALL are looking for the suitable producer for their upcoming, third so far, album. The band plan's to start recording the album in February. Meanwhile they released a video titled "The First Crusade" and they announced that their new drummer will be Anders Johanssen who used to play with Yngwie Malmsteen.
- BRUCE DICKINSON was forced to land his plane in Iceland recently, due to a false alarm that something was wrong with the plane. Fortunately both Bruce and the co-pilot were in perfect health when they were rescued. Bruce has a pilot license and he is flying alone from town to town in the Iron Maiden tour. In more musical news, Bruce will release his live album "Scream for me Brazil" this month in Europe.
