Dark Music News Tape (September, 20)

The new album of Hanker, featuring 11 new songs, is completed. The title of the album is "Snakes and Ladders" and it features the new bass player of the band, Denis Cossette. The album will be released sometime between mid September and mid October.

Vauxdvihl are recording their new songs in an abandoned Russian Orthodox church in Siberia. The title of the album is "Magnitizdat" and will be released before the end of the year.

A best of will be the next Warrant album which will be released on September 20th. The title of the album is  "Warrant's Latest And Gratest."

The singer of Helloween, Andy Derris (shown right), will soon release a solo album titled "Done With Mirrors." The guitarist of the band, Michael Weickath is writing songs for his solo album, plus for the new album of Helloween.

The preparations for the movie "Lord Of The Rings" has already started and there is a poll at the web site about the artist who will do the soundtrack. We really can't think of anyone better than Blind Guardian, so we advice everybody to cast their votes at http://www.tolkien-movies.com 

Napalm Death will release soon an E.P. with punk covers in their new label. They may not be anymore in Earache, but this doesn't means that they will not find a distribution label for their music. The album will be released in October.

SHEAVY are currently finishing their new album, which is titled "Celestial Hi-Fi." The album will be released some time in the Fall, through Rise Above.

The new album of Transport League is finished and will soon be released. The title of the album is "Satanic Panic."

The side project of Dark Funeral's members, Dominion Caligula, will soon enter the studio with the brother of Peter Tagtgren as a producer. The album will be released early next year.

Babylon A.D. are recording the vocals on their new album and mixing will soon begin. The title of the album is "American Blitzkrieg" and it will be released sometime this Fall.

Before the end of the summer Necrophobic will release their new album, the third so far. The title of the album is "The Third Antichrist."

Edge of Sanity are celebrating their tenth anniversary with the release of an album that will feature unreleased and re-mixed songs. It will contain a booklet that will feature old and new photos of the band. The band is also planning a new album sometime next year.
