Review of the week:

VIRGIN STEELE - The House Of Atreus / Noise

The new opus of Virgin Steele is a metal opera that's going to surprise a lot. 74 minutes of music, in 22 songs that are telling the story in a completely operatic way. In order to fully appreciate what it has to offer to you, you must hear it as a whole. Then you will understand that the songs have a continuity and that they are connected to each other, not only lyrically, but also musically. The most important thing in my opinion is that the album has the ability to create several different feelings to the listener, depending on what the band wants to express. A highly emotional concept album, with arrangements that bring you in mind some classic operas, the keyboards playing a leading role in order to create the correct atmosphere and the guitars playing some excellent riffs and solos. I believe that it is the most mature and certainly the most "difficult" album Virgin Steele have released so far.
