BORKNAGAR are now touring the U.S. in support of Emperor. When the tour ends they will be back in Europe in order to begin recording their fourth album so far. The album will be recorded at Abyss Studios with Peter Tagtgren producing.

The new album of STRATOVARIUS will be released early 2000. Meanwhile the band will release a best of compilation, with songs voted by their fans over the internet, soon enough. The title of the album will be "Chosen Ones" and you can vote your favorite song at the site of Noise and enter the competition for free signed CDs.

Bad luck for ASPHYX. A fire in the building that they were using as their rehearsals studio destroyed most of their equipment plus all the work they had done for their new album. The band will soon continue working and the most possible date for the release of their new album is February or March of 2000.

After the success of their previous album Iron Savior extended their contract with Noise for a few more albums. Their new album "Interlude", containg 4 new songs, a cover and 5 live ones, will soon be released.

Review of the week:

ICED EARTH - Alive In Athens / Century Media

When this album first came in my hands I felt really proud because it was recorded in Athens and I was lucky enough to witness the whole thing. When I heard it I felt proud enough twice because it is one of the best live albums ever recorded. Three CDs and five pictured LPs that contain songs spanning their entire career. They have included the best songs from their very first to their newest one and played them in the best possible way. They have certainly corrected a couple of things in the studio (as Gary himself admitted in the interview we did) but not so many as to say that it is not a live album anymore. They have captured the atmosphere of the concert (Jim Morris did a tremendous job producing) and they are releasing a live album that will earn them a few more fans and will establish their reputation as one of the best live bands of the planet. If you are a fan, get it. If you are not a fun just give it a try.
