Dark News and Reviews of the week (August, 12)

After one year of extensive songwriting and pre-recordings Goth Metallers LOVE LIKE BLOOD are close to record their upcoming full-length. The brothers Yorck & Gunnar Eysel will enter the studio in England during August/September together with top producer Simon Efemy (Pantera, Helmet, Paradise Lost, Amorphis ...).

Classic Metallers Defender have completed recording their debut album "They came over the high pass" and the album will soon be released. More precisely this Fall.

The new album of Swedish Speed Metallers Cranium will be soon released. The album titled "Speed Metal Sentence" is at the final stages as you read this.

Triumphator, a Black Metal band featuring Morgan and Fredrik from Marduk, will enter the studio in October to record their debut album for Necropolis Records.

AFTERWORLD - Dark Side Of Mind / Noise

These guys are from Finland and this is their debut album so far. It was originally released in Finland about a year ago and is available worldwide thanks to Noise. They are playing classic Heavy Metal influenced by the 80s, with few Melodic Power Metal elements mixed in their sound. But mostly their songs are very heavy. The grooves of the album are really excellent (the rhythm section is doing a very good job) and the guitars are playing catchy riffs. The keyboards are used to add atmosphere to the songs and they never take the leading role in their music. These guys are good. If they will reduce the few repetitive parts in their sound then they are in for something good. They do have the talent you know.
