Man's Inhumanity
I can't answer these questions. The person who did this was not arrested, is not in jail, and wasn't even cited. The person who systematically starved these dogs, who sprayed them with weed killer because he thought it would kill the fleas, is free. The dogs weren't even seized. The sheriff who finally accompanied the Rescue "suggested" to the owner that he allow Rescue to take the dogs for vetting. The owner didn't even think these animals needed vet care, but did agree. This happened in Paron, Arkansas. The perpetrator did not speak English fluently, and so, as the rescuer on the scene reports: "I have asked for help but was told due to the fact he can't read or write English, he doesn't know the laws and there is nothing that can be done." These 3 dogs, rescued from Paron AR, are now in FL. Three incredible Rescuers drove over 1000 miles to see them safely in Rescue. Is this happening near you, too? Would you just turn away if you saw this horror, or would you seek help? Please, don't turn away now. "All that is necessary for evil to triumph, is that good men do nothing"......
Edmund Burke Man's inhumanity to man is exceeded only by his inhumanity to the animals who are to be his companions. Who will mourn them? Who will speak for them?
