SO you ask where can you learn all about the techniques and dog anatomy? Well dog shows are great places to learn and to see first hand the professional groomers at their best. Talk to the handlers and exhibitors about their breed. Find out what the breed's best and worst points are.
GO to the library and take out some books on structure conformation and movement. A long-time valuable resource is The Dog In Action by McDowell Lyon. Very old but still referred to today.
Even home groomers of companion dogs will benefit from the learned know how of the experts and be able to better groom their pets to look like the breeds they closely resemble by learning this applied science. I hope the few points and questions presented here will have you encouraged to learn all about why your dog looks the way he does so you can make him look the way he should.
