Dog Book Recommendations

This month I am going to offer some suggested reading on dogs. I often receive letters and requests for reading material on how to groom particular breeds, basic training for dogs, just general information, and even health questions best answered by vets.

No matter if you own a purebred dog or a cross breed, enriching your knowledge on canine care, psychology, and other important aspects of dog management will be an asset to ensuring the well-being of your pet.

The majority of the books that will be listed below can be found at your local library, pet shops, finer bookstores, and even online. While some information can be found and is free on the Internet, it is invaluable to have hard copy access available any time required. A truly dedicated site to helping you find the right book is online at http://www.dogwise.com/

The recommended books listed below are for your reference, and may or may not be still in print. To the best of my knowledge they are.
