Divorced parent guide to gift giving/receiving

· Take into consideration any other children involved (parents have remarried and there are other children) the parent should not buy more or less, but all children should receive equally. · If buying for the other grandparent or other step-siblings, talk to the other parent to see first if they are buying in the child's name for them already to avoid duplication. · When receiving gifts from the children or other parent, do not denigrate or belittle the gift or make comments such as "he should/could have gotten something better than this".
