3. Each time a question is asked, the leader starts with a different participant, and each student responds in turn.

4. After the lesson, the leader talks with the participants about how they viewed their encounter and asks how they clet about being soemthing else. The discussion then turns to the audience, or observers, and they give their reactions to the encounter group.

5. The encounter lesson should then be followed by extenders, which are a wide variety of activiites that would be related to the lesson. The encounter lesson has served to promote interest in the area to be studied and to develop the higher levels of thinking.
