In case you are a first time visitor or haven't had an opportunity to visit in a while, in April, Suite101 launched several new communities of interest. Included in the group were the Environment Community and Pets & Animals Community. Within these communities I would like to take the opportunity to suggest other birding topics you may find relevant and of interest.

In the Environment Community, for example, you'll find the following topics; Birding, by Fred Kane, Backyard Birdwatching Almanac, by Terrie Murray, and Tropical and Neotropical Birds, by Glenda Gibbons. Please take a moment and visit any one of these topics all of which contain a variety of articles filled with informative and educational content by knowledgeable editors as well as their lists of suggested links.

In the Pets & Animals Community you'll find the topic Companion Birds, by Anne Watkins. For those of you who share your home with these beautiful creatures, Anne's topic is a must read. Last but not least, in the Gardening Community, topics include Butterfly and Hummingbird Gardening by Naomi Mathews, and Cottage Garden by Barbara Martin. Check out her article It's Hummingbird Time! describing the best ways of attracting birds to your garden!

Suite101 also has a wealth of information in its archived content with such previous topics as Pigeons, by Thomas E. Morgan, Hummingbirds, by Judy Etheridge, Cockatiels by Betty Collins, Ornithology/Bird Biology by Robert Hole, Jr., Birding 101 by P.C. Robinson and Small Hookbills by Mary Wilson.

Thank you for visiting this topic and I hope the suggested active sites in our communities of interest as well as the archived topics offers you a new place to find the types of informational articles that meet your needs.

Please stop by any of our communities and ask a question or start a discussion in any one of the topics and let us know what you think or share information with other like-minded readers and enthusiasts.

Thanks for stopping by!
