Clinical DepressionClinical Depression Isn't Just Feeling Blue I have been writing for suite 101 now for about six years but during this time I really didn't understand what clinical depression was until it happened to me. Now I know how debilitation this type of Mental Illness can be. If anyone has ever experienced this type depression then they will know what I am talking about. It is not feeling sorry for yourself as some would have others believe or it is not just feeling blue. When one is in the throws of clinical depression, your body may feel as if it is going to explode. When one is in the throws of clinical depression you may feel as if you are experiencing all the hurt which may have been inflicted upon you over the years. If one feels this way then they should immediately seek help for this type of feeling is overwhelming and hard to take and it may be why some seek to terminate their lives. It is not that they consciously wish this but their pain may be so great that they cannot stand it any more and therefore seek to end their pain at any cost up to and including the taking their own lives. If one opts for this drastic type of solution to their pain them one can be assured that they are not their rational selves because ending ones life is not the answer to clinical depression. The answer is seeking help to overcome the debilitation effects of the incredible pain that you may experience during a chronic attack of clinical depression.
